Less than a month after winning the prestigious Lagos State Man of the Year Award 2017, Dr. Adebola Akindele, has bagged a Professional Excellence Award.
The colourful induction of new members and awards ceremony held at the Hotel Victoria Palace, Victoria Island, Lagos on October 19, 2017, attracted technocrats, captains of industries and other career professionals from all walks of life.
While decorating group managing director of Courteville Business Solutions Plc, Sir (Dr) ‘Dipo Bailey, founder, Professional Excellence Foundation of Nigeria (PEFON) described him as a shining light and a pride to the Foundation.
Bailey also added that his feat further epitomizes what PEFON stands for.
It would be recalled that Akindele beat prominent personalities such as Dr. Herbert Wigwe, managing director, Access Bank; Hon. Muslimi Folami, Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs; Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, LASU Vice-Chancellor; Alhaji Babatunde Rotinwa, chairman, Local Government Service Commission, and Oba (Dr.) Sejiro Olalekan James of Kweme Kingdom among others to emerge winner of year’s Lagos State Man of the Year Award (LASMAYA).
Akindele, who studied Animal Science at University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), is also an M.Sc. holder in Banking and Finance from the University of Lagos. He attended numerous management courses in Financial Services, Human Resources Management, Logistics, Risk Management and Bank Fraud Control & Prevention, Information Technology Systems Audit, Strategic Customer Service Management and Treasury Management in Nigeria and overseas.
He is also an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School, London Business School, and INSEAD, Fontainebleau. His academic curiosity culminated in the completion of his Doctorate degree in Business Administration program at the International School of Management, Paris (ISM).
