FG Congratulates New ArchBishop of Lagos


Goodluck Jonathan has congratulated Most Rev. (Dr) Archbishop Adewale Martins on
his formal installation as the Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese
of Lagos.

Adewale was installed the 4th Archbishop of the Catholic
Archdiocese of Lagos on Saturday, following his appointment to the
position by Pope Benedict XVI.

A statement by Dr Reuben Abati, Special Adviser to the President on
Media and Publicity, in Abuja, said that Jonathan wished Martins
continued divine guidance and blessing as he assumed the position.

The President gave assurance that the Federal Government would
work with Martins and other religious leaders in efforts to promote
religious tolerance, interfaith harmony and peace in all parts of the
