D’Tigers now 17th in FIBA ranking

Nigeria’s
basketball team, D’Tigers have moved up four places on global rankings
to become the 17th best basketball team on earth.

According
to the ranking released by the world basketball governing body FIBA,
Nigeria is now the second best playing team in Africa behind Angola who
is ranked 15th position in the world.

 Nigeria produced a breath taking performance at the just concluded London Olympic Games despite finishing 7th in the group.

Olympic champions USA, are the best playing team closely followed by
European champions, Spain, followed by the Olympic silver medallists,
Argentina, Greece and Lithuania.
