BREAKING NEWS: 5 feared dead as three-storey building collapses in Lagos Island


Tragedy has struck again in Lagos Island where no fewer than five occupants of a three-storey building on Lagos Island are believed to have died after it collapsed few hours ago.

According to sources, the collapsed building is said to be located in Anikantamo area of Lagos Island. At the time of going to press, rescue workers had raced to the scene and began checking the rubble for any signs of life. LASEMA, Nigeria Police and Emergency response team were also said to be on ground.

Within the first hour of their arrival, no corpse was found.

However, people living in nearby houses insisted that there were some people occupying the building at the time it collapsed.

This is the latest incidence of building collapse in Lagos this year.
